Clarence George Butler's Obituary
Clarence George Butler, son of the late Willie and Lillie Butler, departed this life
on Sunday December 21st, 2025 at his home in Washington, DC. He was the
6th of 8 children, five boys and 3 girls, in which five proceeded him in death.
Clarence worked at the Library of Congress for more than thirty years and also
Safeway before retiring. He was a private person. He loved and raised
Xavier, and he also enjoyed sports and listening to old music in which he had
a collection including The Whispers, Delfonics, and Stylistics, just to name a
few. He loved to eat on Sundays and his niece Ronnette made sure he did.
His nephew Ronald would deliver and check on him from time to time to
make sure that he was good. Day or night, he was there. We will miss you
uncle, father, friend and brother.
Clarence leaves to cherish his son, Xavier Butler, sister, Hazel (Ewan), brother,
Bland Butler and Ronnette, Ronald, Brenda, Tracy, Michael and a host of
nephews, cousins, nieces and friends.
