Eliza Beatrice Walker, lovingly known as “Snook,” departed this life on April 17, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on March 1, 1947, in Concord, North Carolina, and later made her home in District Heights, Maryland. Eliza Read Obituary
Ms. Walker wished me a blessed day, every day, at work in the Senate. She was a remarkable presence in the building who brightened the day of dozens of staff, as well as the many people visiting the Senate for the first time. I'll miss her dearly, and I know many others will, too. We were so lucky for the time with her that we had.
As my mother in law and mother of her grandchildren she would always say Bob you know that you will always have my support even if you aren't my daughter in law. I love you just remember that! I say to you if you didn't love her it was you fault because she gave nothing but love for as long as I have known her. To my children cherish your memories of your grandmother and know she loved you dearly until she took her last breathe. And to the rest of the grandchildren just know that you were the love of her existence and she would do anything in this world for you.
Ms. Walker, you are missed so much. Ann, Lionel and Jerry will always think of you. Rest In Peace 🕊️
