Harold Jvonnie Sweeney's Obituary
Harold Jonnie Sweeney was born June 28, 1963 to Harold and Lucille Sweeney. He passed away September 13, 2024 at 5:00am.
Jvonnie was a Gentle Giant. His stature 6ft 8in and flare to dress made him always noticeable and appealing. Jvonnie worked for Cone Mills, Duke Hospital, Elastic Fabrics, Old Dominion Truck Company, Mountain Farms Chicken in Fayetteville and for the State with Satff Zone. Jonnie attended Grimsley High School in Greensboro NC, Furman College in Mt. Airy and had two tryouts for the Charlotte Hornets.
Jvonnie had a Love (Gods Love Agape, Euros and Philo) for people that surpassed all understanding. Jvonnie's unique way of loving is what made him choose me, Ava Bonita Lassiter. This understanding was just recognized by me in his passing. Him being an only child, wanted 6 children. I wanted none and no husband. The difference in our love and nurturing has made some very unique young men and a little girl.
Jvonnie is preceded by his Loving Mother Lucille Dixon Sweeney.
He is survived by his father Harold Sweeney, Ava Lassiter Sweeney (Ex-wife but Only Wife), 3 sons, Jonnie Rashod Sweeney 32, Harold Lee Sweeney 31 and James Jefferson Sweeney: 24 Grandchildren, 2 Kobe Shawn Lee Sweeney 8 and Jaide Goddess Sweeney 6. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces.
Nephews and a host of Sweeney, Dixon, Davis and Lassiter Family.
We celebrate what God did in our union and embrace, release, motivate, strengthen to the New Sweeney 5 (Rashod, Lee, James, Kobe and Jaide) as I dedicate them All to God. Amen
