Jamarl Jones, a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in Washington, D.C., leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and kindness. A proud product of D.C. Public Schools, Jamarl’s roots were firmly planted in the community he cherished and served throughout his life.
Jamarl was known for his remarkable work ethic and his gift for helping others. Whether it was a home improvement project, a repair that needed an expert hand, or simply lending his strength and time, he was always there for both family and community. His talents were matched only by his generosity Jamarl never hesitated to show up, step in, and support the people he loved.
Family meant everything to Jamarl. He valued the bond of friendship just as deeply, treating those close to him with unwavering loyalty, warmth, and humor. His presence brought comfort, and his spirit lifted those around him.
He now rests in eternal peace alongside his late mother, Shirley Ann Jones, his father Emmit Robinson, and his loved ones Sarita Jones Pittman, Deneen Jones, Alonzo Jones, and Ayesha Jones. Their reunion brings comfort to those who mourn his earthly departure.
Jamarl leaves behind a legacy carried forward by his cherished daughter Jamia and his adored granddaughter Ja’Nilah, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his loving siblings Aleta, Theda, Ivan, Derrick, and Paul, along with a large and close-knit family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Jamarl’s life was defined by love, service, and a steadfast commitment to family. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit and the memories he created will continue to shine through those he touched.
