Louis Brown Jr.'s Obituary
Louis Brown Jr. was born February 19, 1953 to Louis Brown Sr. (deceased) and Mary Alice Brown (deceased). Louis was the sixth child of eight children.
Louis graduated from McKinley Technology High School in 1971 and enlisted in the United States Army specializing in Operations and Maintenance. He received training and certifications as a Wireman, MOS 36K20, excelling in Special Leadership Preparation and Projectionist courses. He attended Highland Community Junior College and Sears Technical Training Center specializing in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration I and Sealed System Repairs.
Louis met and married the love of his life, Christel, on August 29, 1981, and they cherished nearly 45 years of marriage. They were blessed to add to their union 3 children, Christopher, Christina, and Louis Jr.
Louis and Christel joined Community Temple Church under the leadership of Bishop Robert A. Pitts and Mother Esther L. Pitts (deceased) where he was ordained as a Deacon, and they were faithful members in good standing for over 38 years.
Deacon Brown was very personable and loved to laugh. He treasured his family and believed in raising his children in the fear and admonition of the LORD. He loved a good debate and watching sports. He brought joy to others with his infectious laugh but his heart centered around his love for the LORD and his family.
Deacon Brown was the First Gentleman of the ARK of the Redeemed Kingdom Ministries in Upper Marlboro, MD, where he served alongside his beloved wife, Pastor Christel A. Brown. He deeply loved and cherished his church family and was committed to serving the LORD and the ministry. He would often say “you can’t make me doubt him because I know too much about HIM; what a mighty GOD we serve!”
Louis is survived by his wife, Christel; children: Christopher, Christina and Louis Jr. (Jonese), grandchildren: CeCe, Cailee, Aiden, LaJoyce, Harmony, Quinn, and Louis IV; siblings. Alexander, Vanessa, Brenda, Mary; sisters in love: Carleen and Elva Jean; an uncle and a host of favorite nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
