Mark Ervin Cole's Obituary
Mark Ervin Cole was born on June 4, 1964, in Cheraw, South Carolina, to the late Lillie Little and Henry Harrington. He departed this earth on March 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a willingness to always help others.
Mark graduated from Phelps High School in Washington, DC, and went on to become a dedicated member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 419. Through his work, he built not only structures but lasting relationships and respect within his community.
Affectionately known as "Linus," Mark was everybody’s favorite handyman. He was known for overpromising but always doing his best to show up and lend a helping hand. His heart for others and his determination to be there when needed made him unforgettable.
He was a loving father to Mark, Kalete, and Jamari, and a proud grandfather to Alivia, Kaleema, Nasir, and Mark Jr., who brought him immense joy.
Mark is survived by his siblings: Bernice, Earl, Betty, Henry, and Clinton (Valerie), along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Little; his father, Henry Harrington; and his siblings, Tony, Joseph, Sandy, and Jacqueline.
He was a devoted Washington Commanders fan and a man of simple tastes, with black and grey being his favorite colors. He also had a deep love for music, especially oldies but goodies, enjoying artists such as Sam Cooke and Jeffrey Osborne, just to name a few.
Above all, he will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the love he gave.
