Vince Mayfield
The Vince Irving-Mayfield family sends it’s heartfelt sympathy to both the Whitmore & Ellison families on the passing of my beloved friend & fellow sister in the body of Christ Jesus.
Mildred was nicknamed ““Whitty” by me in high school because of her humorous quick wit responses & contagious laughter.
Whitty & I became best friends and she i called her by that name during the long years of out relationship. After the birth of my first daughter in 1972, she traveled to Pittsburgh to “take a peek” and subsequently wrote her a poem, , which to this day is in her baby album.
Over the years we often shsred our hopes, dreams , challenges , joys & trials. We prayed for and with each other often.
I will miss her tremendously.💞
To honor her presence in our lives and to give her daughter & 4 grandchildren another cherished memory my family placed an order of 50 Memorial trees with the Arbor Day Foundation to be planted wherever ithry are needed..Our hope is that both the trees and her grandchildren with grow strong & beautiful by the grace & love of our God as a testament to her spiritual legacy.
I believe since she is absent from the body she is present with our Lord ✝️️
My beloved friend & sister.-
Mildred D. Whitmore Ellison,-
May You Rest In Peace.til we meet again💞
