Yolanda Catherine Hardy's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Yolanda Catherine Hardy, who departed this life on May 10, 2026, at the age of 33.
Yolanda was born on November 5, 1992, in Prince George's County, Maryland, to Pamela Wilson and Gerald Stokes. She was also lovingly raised by her stepfather, Randy Wilson.
A graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Yolanda lived her life with strength, courage, and authenticity. Although she was hard of hearing, she never allowed it to limit her ability to connect with others or enjoy life fully. She was known for her bright smile, loving heart, and vibrant personality. Yolanda enjoyed spending time with family and friends, having fun, enjoying good food, and especially eating crabs. Her presence brought joy to everyone around her.
Above all, Yolanda was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Kailyn Smith, age 12, and Kylie Smith, age 10, whom she loved dearly. Her children were the center of her world.
In June 2022, Yolanda gave her life to Christ, and her faith became an important part of her life. She faithfully prayed each morning and evening with her mother and sister, Jordan. Yolanda's love for God, family, and friends was reflected in the kindness and compassion she showed to others.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Stokes, and her grandmothers, Ida Hardy and Glenda Stokes.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Pamela Wilson (Randy); grandfather, Donald Hardy; her daughters, Kailyn Smith and Kylie Smith; her brothers, Randy, Jalen, and Gerald; her sisters, Jordan and Porshana; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Yolanda's loving spirit, beautiful smile, and unforgettable presence will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
