Rest in Peace, Sister,
What to say about my dear sister Ruth.
I want to say that my sister Ruth tried to live her life as an example of the believers of the Christian faith.
I want to always remember her as a person who tried to live her life according to the Bible, always quoting scriptures.
I will cherish the way that she would start out with “Praise the Lord” and sign her name as “Sister Ruth” in her written correspondence to me.
For instance, in some last written notes in a birthday card that I received recently from her on my last birthday, 7 days before she passed.
In that birthday card she sent me $25, with her precious words of, “Praise the Lord, Phillip, Have a Blessed Birthday,” signed “Sister Ruth & Family”.
So my sister Ruth endeavored to show her life as a true Christian. She told of some of her Bible studies at her Senior Citizen residence and her witness to many of her neighbors there. She tried very hard to exemplify that Christian life that meant so much to her. This is how I want to remember my Sister. May she REST IN PEACE.
Signed
Our parents’ 5th child and Ruth’s brother
