Ruth Virginia Jackson's Obituary
Ruth Virginia Chamberlain Jackson was born on April 18, 1943 to the late Eleanor Clark Chamberlain and Clyde Chamberlain, Sr. Ruth was the second of 14 Children: Grace, David, Joseph, Phillip, Clyde, Eunice, Doris, Miriam, Elliott, John, Thomas, Hiram and Clarence. Ruth leaves behind two favorite Brothers: Phillip and Clarence and One Favorite Sister Miriam. The other siblings predeceased her in going to be with the Lord.
Ruth passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 81 years old. She leaves a legacy of Love for God, Praising Jesus and Quoting Scriptures from the Bible. Ruth also had great love for her family, enjoyed shopping and witnessing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She also loved goldfish, rainbows, eating at buffets, watching people roller skate, ballons and flowers. Her favorite color was her Birthstone, the Diamond!!
In early life, Ruth worked at the Hot Shoppes Restaurant where she met Charles Butler Williams, and they were married. After a couple of years they divorced, and Ruth married Julius Jackson. They were married for over 20 years before he passed.
Ruth enjoyed going to Church and singing in the Choir. She learned and could remember countless scriptures. Ruth raised her children in a God Fearing household.
Ruth was Blessed with 6 children: Lavont Clifford (Robin), Jean Chamberlain (deceased), Marlene Williams, Priscilla Grimm (Anthony, Sr.), Charles Williams Jr (Marissa) and Richard Williams. Seventeen Grandchildren: Krystal, Kayla, Kayman, Jeremy, Sabrina, Elisha (Jerome), Regina, Lydia, Candace, Anthony Jr., (Candice), Victoria (Derrick), Greggory, Laura, Charles Israel, Marc, Shawntavia and Kenna Twelve Great Grandchildren: Laya, Simone, Jerome, Jr, Aidan, Peyton, Ahreal, Lillian, Camilla, Kelani, Jeremiah Alvester, Gayden and Issac Nehemiah.
